Perception does not begin in the intellect; it emerges from the recesses of The Body. My practice explores how human experience, memory, and trauma or physically held, processed, and externalise through monumental, gestural drawing and painting. Working intuitively through automatic mark-making, my hands trace and delineate an internal orientation in the world – a landscape shaped not only by personal history, but by a shared human vulnerability. Marks made directly with fing
